Can I do a Master's in Germany with a 3-year Bachelor's (15 years of education)?

Yes, but program-by-program. About 60% of German Master programs accept 3-year Indian Bachelor's (B.Sc / B.A / B.Com / 3-year B.Tech). The other 40% require 4-year / 240-ECTS Bachelor's. Strategy: filter target programs by the language 'minimum 180 ECTS' in their admission rules, or apply to Universities of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschulen) which are typically more 3-year-Bachelor-friendly. Indian B.Tech graduates almost universally qualify; B.Com / B.A graduates need program-level filtering. EEC's finder filters by ECTS-acceptance to surface only programs eligible for your specific degree length.

What is the EU Blue Card shortage occupation list and what does it mean for Indian graduates?

The Blue Card shortage occupation list includes MINT subjects (Mathematik, Informatik, Naturwissenschaften, Technik), human medicine, dentistry, scientific research, and academic teaching. Indian graduates of MINT programs at German universities qualify for the LOWER 2026 Blue Card salary threshold of €45,934.20/year (vs €50,700 for non-shortage). This is the single biggest reason German master programs in CS, data science, engineering, and AI/ML have the strongest India-graduate retention rate — first jobs at companies like SAP, Siemens, Bosch, Continental, BMW routinely exceed €52,000 and trigger Blue Card eligibility on Day 1.
